Back in April of this year we announced we would be producing a bespoke collection of cards for The Walled Nursery in Hawkhurst.

WN 1164

This beautiful place has stunning victorian glasshouses which are still in use today producing plants and seedlings for sale in the Nursery.  Having spent several lovely hours over the spring and early summer photographing this gorgeous place we are now at the tricky stage of deciding which images should be used in the final 12 designs.  It is a hard decision and can provoke more than a few ‘discussions’ in the Dipingo design studio.  Here are just a few of the photos we took.

The Walled Nursery Collection is due to be launched in the autumn.

We are really excited to announce that we will be working with The Walled Nursery in Hawkhurst Kent.  This lovely place deep in the Kent countryside is a real gem of old English charm with their historic Victorian glasshouses which seem frozen in time.  The nursery grows thousands of plants which it sells to the public along with a variety of other products from vintage gardening tools to beautiful pots.

Dipingo Design has teamed up with Emma and Monty who own and run The Walled Nursery to create a bespoke range of cards of their fabulous gardens and glasshouses. There will initially be 12 cards in ‘The Walled Nursery Collection” featuring all sorts of images from the glasshouses themselves to the cutting beds.  This exciting new collection, which will be launched later in the year, will add to our already extensive range of floral and horticultural cards which are proving popular with garden centres and high streets alike.

DL16 Gardener

This gorgeous chap belongs to the RHS Chelsea Gold Medal winning garden designer Jo Thompson so of course we had to style him as a gardener!

Jo’s garden designed for The Caravan Club from 2012 is featured in our Chelsea Garden Collection which is very popular with many retailers from garden centres to stately homes and everything in between….

We are super chuffed to add Scandinavia to our growing list of international markets. We have just signed up our first direct customer in Finland and have struck a deal with a Norwegian distributor.

Happy days!  At the latest count Dipingo cards are now available in 5 international markets with several more in the pipeline.

One of the first ranges Dipingo ever created was the Cute and Cuddly Collection, featuring various fluffy animals photographed in our studio.

The cards are consistently good sellers for us and we are thinking of expanding the collection to include more designs.

Here are just a couple of examples…

Well the show is over and we are back home safely. It was our 3rd year exhibiting at Top Drawer and it coincided with our 3rd anniversary so we had high expectations.  We weren’t disappointed.  The show proved another great success for us with old and new clients dropping by our stand.  This was the largest stand we had ever taken at the show and it was good to have that little bit of extra space.  Our ‘gallery’ format for displaying our work has proved very popular with many people expressing admiration for the clean and minimalist presentation of our art.  We are very proud to be the creators of all our own work, from concept to shoot to production, we really do design all our images ourselves  – we put a great deal of time and effort in coming up with fresh and original ideas and bringing them to life in our collections.

The Dipingo Design Stand at Top Drawer 2013

We took lots of orders, made some very interesting contacts and have an exciting new project in the pipeline but shhhhhh…it’s a secret! One of the most popular collections in our range was the Mimi Collection which featured in many of the orders we took.
